Qoya is a feminine movement practice to guide women back to remembering their essence.

We believe that through movement we remember our essence as Women is Wise, Wild and Free.

Wise, Wild and Free also refer to the types of movement we experience during a Qoya Class. Wise is for the wisdom of yoga, Wild for the creative expression of dance, and Free for the feminine movement that expands our capacity to enjoy being in our bodies.

Weekly Sunday night Qoya classes will begin again on

Parking: Street parking or across the street in the gravel lot along the river.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. We are located in the large room at the end of the hallway in the back of the studio.

Join Shanna Tabatcher, certified Qoya teacher, for a weekly women's movement practice called Qoya. Each Qoya class is based on a different theme that Shanna weaves into the class.

Qoya is a movement practice created by Rochelle Schieck to help women connect with their bodies and other women on a deeper level.

"Your body is your guide. Your body is the compass you use to navigate the journey to trusting yourself. The feeling in your body is your north star, guiding you from external validation to internal. It is the portal to the little voice inside that asks for what you REALLY want." Rochelle Schieck

Qoya classes are based on the idea that through movement we remember. We remember our essence as women is wise, wild and free.

Wise: calling on the wisdom of yoga.

Wild: the creative expression in dance.

Free: expanding our capacity to enjoy being in our bodies through feminine movement.

The class is only for WOMEN or those who idently as WOMEN. Each class is made up of 13 pillars and usually lasts 1.5 hours. The pillars incorporate sensual movement, dance and yoga. How can we use movement as a way to deepen our relationship to ourself. Qoya teaches us how to connect and listen to our bodies in order to begin experiencing life differently! We begin to experience life in a way that’s more in alignment with who we are. We begin to live life more in tune with our Inner Wise Woman and what we truly desire!

Three mottos of Qoya are:

1.) Come as who you are and leave as more of who you are.

2.) It doesn’t matter how it looks, it only matters how it feels.

3.) There is no way to do it wrong, and how you know that you're doing it right is that is feels good in your body.

The other thing I love about Qoya is that during each class there are opportunities to talk with our sisters to build a sense of community!
